We recommend that you read our Warranty Policy before purchasing so that you are familiar with our refund, return, and repair policies, as well as your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Under Australian Consumer Law, all goods sold in Australia come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. If the products fail to be of acceptable quality and the defect does not amount to a major failure, you have the right to have them repaired. Furthermore, if there is a major failure, you are entitled to a replacement or refund, as well as compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Please keep in mind that the Quality Guarantee offered by Best Price Furniture Outlet is only valid for the original purchaser (warranty is not transferable) and for products used for reasonable domestic purposes. It does not include products that are used for commercial purposes. The warranty commences on the date of purchase for all goods. If a replacement product is offered as part of a warranty claim, the original guarantee remains valid. You may not be entitled to a remedy in certain circumstances. If goods are to be returned, they must be returned in a reasonable time frame and acceptable condition. This duration varies by product and is dependent on the type of product you purchased and the price you paid. You may be quoted an approximate repair time, which may vary due to factors beyond our control or the repairer’s reasonable control, such as part availability and a mistaken fault description. Under the Best Price Furniture Outlet’s warranty against defects, the purchaser has the right to repairs of the defective part or product only. Change of Mind and Buyer’s Remorse

Please choose carefully as refunds are not provided where you have simply changed your mind, made a wrong selection. It is your responsibility to ensure that the goods you have purchased are measured properly. According to ACCC and Office of Fair Trading laws, if these goods do not fit in elevators, doorways, corridors, or your space, you will not be refunded. If delivery is not possible on the planned date, additional transportation fees will be applied. Goods sold as “Floor stock,” “as is,” “ex-display,” or “factory seconds” are not subject to regular “Merchant Sample” standards or warranty periods, and no further claim for repair or replacement of the product can be made against the Company. These items are sold with no refund, repair, or return policy. Cancellations For any cancellations of pre-orders or special orders, Best Price Furniture Outlet will charge a minimum of 50% of the total purchase price. Exclusions (subject to the Australian Consumer Law) Best Price Furniture Outlet is not liable for or in respect of the following, subject to the Australian Consumer Law, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), under any statute or otherwise:
  1. Normal wear and tear. In this regard, please note that the following may occur as a result of natural and normal usage:
  2. Your leathers and fabrics will fade and crease your foam and fillings will soften and form the shape of the user over time.
  3. Minor stitching abnormalities that arise due to normal wear and tear that are not consistent with a defect or manufacturing fault.
  4. Depending on the covering and the degree of use, the covering material, seat cushion may need regular maintenance such as fillings and suspension may need regular maintenance or be replaced periodically at the purchaser’s expense.
  5. Leather is a natural product and scars, marks and differing pore density and colour are also natural characteristics of leather.
  6. Because most products are upholstered manually, the sizes and weights of these products may experience minor variations of up to 5% from the sample products or from any product specifications you have been quoted in any of our stores.
  7. Damage caused by spills such as acid, solvents, dyes or other corrosive materials, ink, paint, or bodily fluids.
  8. Damage caused by exposing the product to the sun, extreme heat or bright light such as lamps, or otherwise caused by your acts and/or omissions; or
  9. Damage caused by using improper chemicals when cleaning.
  10. All pet damages.
  11. The cost of transporting the Product to and/or from the specified place of repair or replacement for purchases made when your nearest Best Price Furniture Outlet store is over 100km from your place of residence.
  12. Damage caused by improper use, cleaning, negligence, treatment, transportation, and storage of the products or otherwise caused by your acts and/or omissions.
  13. Damage caused through any modifications, alterations, improper assembly, tampering or products used abnormally and not for the products intended purposes.
  14. Damage caused by exposing the products to the sun, extreme heat or cold, or chemicals/agents that are known to damage the finish of the product.
  15. Body impressions on mattresses, sofas and chairs.
  16. Damages caused by an Act of God.
  17. Defects in products that are sold “As Is” were brought to your attention on purchase.
  18. Products used for commercial purposes
The warranty against defects is not transferable. It is only available to the original purchaser listed on the Sales Order. The fault warranty only applies to products that are used for normal domestic purposes, and it does not apply to products that are used for commercial reasons, as indicated.

Caring For Your Furniture

Furniture will last for a long time if it is cared for correctly. Never sit on the arms of a sofa or lounge or put too much pressure on them. Sofa arms aren’t designed to withstand excessive force. Do not let children jump on or climb furniture. The furniture is not designed for this purpose. When moving furniture, always lift it rather than drag it. Fabric and leather will fade if exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period. Timber furniture can warp, crack, and change colour as a result of exposure to sunlight. Sofa Bed & Recliner Mechanisms (or similar) are mechanical devices. Exiting a recliner while it’s stretched, the mechanism may bend or break. These mechanisms will last longer if they are handled correctly and cared for. To avoid scratches and marks on timber furniture, placemats or coasters should be used. If necessary, clean wood timber surfaces only with a damp clean cloth. Solvents may cause the lacquer coats to dissolve. Fabric furniture should be vacuumed and cleaned regularly. Cleaning your furniture with a fabric cleaning specialist is suggested regularly.

Making a Claim

To claim these warranties against defects, the Purchaser:
  1. Must cease using the product immediately after the defect appears
  2. Must notify Best Price Furniture Outlet within 7 calendar days after the issue appears
  3. Claim by sending an email to info@bestpricefurnitureoutlet.com.au and provide a copy of the original Sales Order or tax invoice, 4 photos, a detailed description and your ID label located underneath the product.
  4. Any extra damages not reported during the process of a claim will be invalid and the responsibility of such repairs will be considered the responsibility of the purchaser following clause 1.
Please contact the store of purchase to file claims. Please note that it may take up to 10 business days to reply as we aim to give each customer our complete attention and care. We will, however, make every effort to respond to each claim as quickly as possible. Once you submit a claim, it will be evaluated and you will receive a response within 10 business days. The Purchaser must bear the expense of making the claim, and in some circumstances bear the cost of all house calls, labours and other items The Purchaser will be charged at standard Best Price Furniture Outlet rates for these. If Best Price Furniture Outlet determines that a part or product has a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace that part or product at Best Price Furniture Outlet’s discretion.

Transportation

If your purchase fails our Best Price Furniture Outlet Guarantee, we will not charge you any transportation expenses for pick-up or drop-off within 150 km of your nearest Best Price Furniture Outlet throughout the guarantee period. Following that, a price of $1 per km will be charged each way.

Refunds

In most instances, a refund will be processed within three days.
